The BC Restaurant and Foodservices Association (BCRFA) is offering their members the opportunity to help with getting ready for hosting many visitors to BC during the FIFA World Cup 2026 games in Victoria this summer.

But the training is not about serving drinks or putting food on tables.

It’s about human trafficking.

Delivered as part of Taste the Beautiful Game – BC Style, the two seminars delivered in partnership with the Human Trafficking Prevention Network of British Columbia will focus on increasing awareness and providing practical tools to help hospitality teams recognize and respond to potential human trafficking situations.

“With increased traffic and activity expected during major events, it’s important that teams feel informed and prepared,” said BCRFA in an email to sector members today.
