This winner’s workday took an unexpected and exciting turn, after learning that he won the top prize of $150,000 from a $10 20X Scratch & Win.
“I was at work when I found out I won,” recalled Frederick G.
“I scratched my ticket and thought I won $1,500, then I took my ticket to Thrifty Foods. They let me know that I won $150,000! I thought, ‘oh cool!’”, as reported by BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) today.
The ticket was redeemed for the prize on January 21, 2026 at the Vancouver office of BC Lottery Corporation.
Frederick shared he plans to celebrate by treating his sister to a nice dinner and while he doesn’t have any immediate plans for his prize, he mentioned he will save for his retirement.
The winning ticket was purchased at Thrifty Foods on Royal Oak Drive in Victoria.
