A one-day run from Sooke to Sidney by Wounded Warriors Run BC participants on Sunday February 1 will see short-term traffic impacts on Highways 14, 1 and 17.
The runners will depart the Sooke Legion at 10 am and run down Highway 14 to Langford where they are expected at noon at the Langford Fire Department on Peatt Road.

The next leg of the run will be in heading to the Saanich Fire Department along Highway 1 for a 2 pm arrival.
Then heading to Sidney for 4:45 pm arrival at ANAVETS Hall.
The runners are usually acommpanied by police or other vehicles.
Traffic advisory summary:
Expect traffic slow-downs on these routes on Sunday February 1:
- Highway 14 – 9:45 am to 11:45 am
- Highway 1 – 1 to 2 pm
- Highway 17 – 3 to 4 pm
Next run:
A longer eight-day Wounded warriors BC Run will take place February 22 to March 1 along a much longer route from Port Hardy to Victoria.

About Wounded Warriors:
The Wounded Warriors organizations provided mental health program for veterans, first responders and their families.
The runs are a fundraising event.
