The Lotto Max ticket that produced an Extra win in the December 23, 2025 draw was purchased at Save-On-Foods on Island Highway West in Parksville.
Nina F. and Frederick K. discovered that they won a $500,000 Extra prize. The couple lives in Coombs, just west of Parksville on Vancouver Island. They plan to celebrate with a vacation but haven’t decided on a destination yet.
The Extra is a $1 add-on game for the chance to win up to $500,000.
The next Lotto Max draw which comes up January 9 has an estimated jackpot of $55 million.
In 2025, BC lottery players redeemed more than $51 million in winnings from the Extra and more than $248 million from Lotto Max.
