New Year’s Eve bus service will be provided in regions across BC.
The service on Wednesday December 31, 2025 is provided by BC Transit and its government partners.
- Central Fraser Valley – There will be extended regular service on New Year’s Eve until 3 a.m. Buses will be free after 6 p.m. See: CENTRAL FRASER VALLEY schedule.
- Kamloops – Regular weekday service on New Year’s Eve with extended late-night service. Buses will be free starting at 6 p.m.
- Kitimat – Buses will be free after 7 p.m and there will be extended late-night service until 5 a.m. on routes 1, 2 and 3. See: KITIMAT schedule.
- Nanaimo – Service will be extended, with free service starting at 6 p.m.
- Penticton – Ring in the New Year with extended service on New Year’s Eve. Starting at 7 p.m., all transit services will be free, with a special shuttle operating for the evening. Route 15 will also run late, with service extended until 2:30 a.m. For the full shuttle and Route 15 extended PENTICTON service schedule.
- Port Alberni – There will be extended late-night service offered on New Year’s Eve with free service after 7:30 p.m. The schedule is available here.
- Prince George – Service will be free, starting at 7 p.m. There will be extended service until 3 a.m. for routes 1, 10, 15,16, 46, 88, 89, and 91. See: PRINCE GEORGE schedule.
- Prince Rupert – Free service will be available from 5 p.m. until 1:30 a.m. See: PRINCE RUPERT schedule.
- Revelstoke – Route 5 Resort Shuttle will provide late-night service and will be free from 6 p.m. until 1:30 a.m.
- Smithers – There will be extended late night service until 2 a.m. on routes 22 and 23. Buses will be free starting at 8 p.m. See full SMITHERS schedule.
- Squamish – There will be extended weekday service on New Year’s Eve. The buses will be free after 8 p.m. See: SQUAMISH Schedule.
- Sunshine Coast – Regular weekday service will be in effect for New Year’s Eve. Service will be free after 7 p.m.
- Victoria – Regular weekday schedule with extended late-night service provided in the Victoria Region. Service will be free on both conventional and handyDART service after 6 p.m. Service will run on a Sunday schedule on Thursday, January 1, 2026. See full VICTORIA schedule.
- Whistler – Free transit will be available all-day, compliments of the Resort Municipality of Whistler. Regular weekday schedule will be in effect for New Year’s Eve.
