On Remembrance Day, November 11, elected officials will attend Remembrance Day ceremonies across the country.
NATIONAL:
- Prime Minister Mark Carney will attend the National Remembrance Day Ceremony in Ottawa. Remembrance Day statement by Premier Mark Carney.
- Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre statement on Remembrance Day.
- NDP Leader Don Davies will attend the South Vancouver Veterans Council Remembrance Day Service at 9:30 am PT, as well as the Chinatown Remembrance Day ceremony at 12:30 pm, at Chinatown Memorial Square on Keefer St. Then he will attend the Let Peace Be Their Memorial ceremony at Seaforth Peace Park, 1620 Chestnut St. | Remembrance Day statement by NDP Leader Don Davies

VANCOUVER ISLAND:
- Victoria MP Will Greaves will attend the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Victoria Cenotaph at the BC Parliament Buildings, for a ceremony that begins at 10:30 am. [For the Victoria ceremony, expect road closures – Government St from Fort to Superior St | Belleville St from Menzies to Douglas St | Wharf St from Fort to Government St | Humboldt St from Government to Gordon St]. Victoria ceremony is covered live on local TV.
- Victoria MLA Grace Lore attended the BC Legislature ceremony on behalf of Premier David Eby.

- Victoria Mayor Marianne Alto will attend the ceremony at the BC Legislature cenotaph.

- Esquimalt-Saanich-Sooke MP Stephanie McLean – at the Remembrance Day ceremony in Esquimalt, BC; wreaths laid at both the Sooke and Saanich ceremonies.
- Cowichan-Malahat-Langford MP Jeff Kibble – at the Remembrance Day ceremony in Duncan, BC. Event from 10:30 am to 12 pm at 130 Canada Avenue.
- District of Metchosin- Mayor & Council – will be joining community members, veterans and service members at the Cenotaph in Metchosin at 11 am.
- View Royal Mayor Sid Tobias – at the Remembrance Day ceremony in Esquimalt, BC
- District of Sooke Mayor Maja Tait – at the Remembrance Day ceremony at the Sooke Legion Cenotaph, Eustace Rd. Starts 10:20 am. Event at the Legion to 3 pm.
- District of Saanich – ceremony at the Saanich Cenotaph, 770 Vernon Ave; 10:45 to 11:45 am.
- North Saanich – Ceremony in Brentwood Bay, 10:50 a.m. to 11:30 a.m, 1209 Clarke Road.
- Sidney -Remembrance Day service and parade [10:45 am to 12 noon] at 2240 Beacon Ave
- District of Oak Bay – 10:55 am to 12:00 pm at the cenotaph, 2900 block of Beach Drive. Livestream.
- Colwood – ceremony in the Garry Oak grove at the cenotaph outside Juan de Fuca Rec Centre, 1767 Island Highway
- Lake Cowichan – Royal Canadian Branch 210 Lake Cowichan, start at cenotaph on Stanley Rd at 10:30 am; open house at Branch 15 at North Shore Rd.
- Nanaimo – Ceremony at Dallas Square Cenotaph, 85 Front St, 11 a.m. Open House at Legion Branch 10 Nanaimo.
- Tofino – Ceremony at 10:45 am at the fire hall hosted by RCL Branch 65. Service at the cenotaph at Tofino Legion, 331 Main St, at 11 am, lunch afterward.
