COLWOOD:
- Tuesday October 7. – 370 Latoria Blvd. Installation of Sanitary Sewer Flow Monitoring Equipment. Anticipate traffic delays, 9:30 am to 3 pm; use of alternative routes is advised by City of Colwood Engineering.

HIGHLANDS:
- Ross Durrance Rd & Millstream Lake Rd. October 1-30. BC Hydro Road Closure. Single lane alternating traffic for residents only. Monday to Thursday 8 am to 6 pm. Traffic details.
LANGFORD:
- October 2 to approximately October 16. 3358/3362 West Oak Place. Blasting Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Drilling and Blasting at 3003 Irwin Road. August 2025 to February or March 2026. Mon to Fri, 12 short whistle signals before the blast.
METCHOSIN:
- Rocky Point.- Three to five days over September 17 into early October – prescribed burning pf up to 50 hectares at Rocky Point in Metchosin by BC Wildfire Service for the Dept of National Defence. To mitigate fire risks, maintain open natural landscapes for military training, and protect and restore Garry Oak ecosystems which support many species at risk. Burns will be done when weather and atmospheric conditions are “most favourable and within site specific fire indices”. Expect some smoke during prescribed burns.
NORTH SAANICH:
- None at this time.
OAK BAY & FAIRFIELD:
- Saturday October 11 and Sunday October 12. Royal Victoria Marathon. Expect traffic disruptions during various road closures in Oak Bay, Fairfield, James Bay, downtown Victoria and Uplands.
SAANICH:
- Tuesday October 7 to Thursday October 9: Richmond Road between Allenby Street and Neil Street – service installation. Single lane traffic, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Mount Douglas Park / Churchill Drive. Starting Monday September 29 to about the end of November. Work will be done on the planned stair construction in preparation for the new cell phone tower project expected to begin in early 2026. Area around the summit will be blocked off (for safety reasons). During construction two parking stalls will be unavailable. There will bed periodic closures of trail entrances/exits near the summit construction site. Stair project will take about eight weeks.

SOOKE:
- Back yard burning is allowed starting November 2025 to April 2026.
VICTORIA :
- Monday October 6. BCGEU Rally through downtown Victoria – traffic delays on Blanshard Street and near the BC Legislature.
- Bay Street Bridge – lane closure starting October 7 (east lane from Vic West to downtown).
- Highway 1 construction zone (for Interurban overpass) continues between approximately McKenzie/Admirals to Uptown.
VIEW ROYAL:
- October 6 to November 21. Frontage work being completed at 1449 Burnside Road West. The two traffic lanes are expected to be maintained; however, intermittent traffic delays may be expected between 9 am and 3 pm daily. Reduce speed and use caution when travelling through the work zone.

CENTRAL VANCOUVER ISLAND:
- Bamfield Main Road – work underway until the end of October, on a 1.5-km section between Kilometre 8 and 9.5 where unstable slopes, dangerous trees and debris flow risks remain (following wildfire management).
