COLWOOD:

  • 316 Wale RoadSept 10 and 11 (9 am to 3 pm). Sidewalk improvements / concrete sidewalk repair. No sidewalk availability on south side of Wale Rd (Island Hwy to Wilfert Rd).
  • 2437 Sooke Rd (Highway 14)Thursday September 11 (7 pm to midnight); road improvements / asphalt restoration. Single-lane alternating traffic; alternate route recommended.

HIGHLANDS:

  • Paving on Ross Durrance Road; road closed to all traffic September 8 to 10 (7 am to 5 pm) northbound at Millstream Lake Road and Hazlitt Creek Road.

LANGFORD:

  • Drilling and blasting as required at 3003 Irwin Road (from August 2025 to March 2026); open period of Mon to Fri, 12 short whistle signals before the blast.

  • Line painting throughout Sooke during September 2025. Includes crosswalk, stop bars, arrows and other key road markings. Two shifts: day (8:30 am to 3:30 pm) and evening (6 pm to 1:30 am). Using thermalplastic painting which increases visibility for up to three years.
  • Phillips Road bridge maintenance (Aug 25 to Sept 8). Single lane traffic, impacting access to/from Sunriver.
  • Todd Creek bridge closure on September 16. No access to Sooke Potholes from 6 am to 4 pm.

  • Highway 1 construction zone continues between approximately McKenzie/Admirals to Uptown.

VIEW ROYAL:

  • Island Highway – Sept 10 & 11. FortisBC scanning their gas line between Price Road and Knollwood Road. Single lane, alternating traffic.
  • Island Highway – Sept 8 to 26. Various locations between Burnett Road and Admirals Road. BC Hydro accessing manholes along Island Highway. Work during day and night. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained. Expect intermittent delays.
