As a major commercial pit stop at the entry point to Sooke, there will be economic impacts on town centre gas stations and coffee shops.
In town, there are two older gas stations. The Chevron at Sooke Road and Church Road is the first service station as you enter the core area of Sooke. Just two blocks further along at Sooke Road and Otter Point Road is a PetroCan station.
Large chain coffee shops in the core Sooke area are McDonalds and A&W. Smaller independents include Serious Coffee, The Stick, and a coffee bar in the Prestige Oceanfront Resort lobby. In-town restaurants include Mom’s Cafe, Kelz Bakery, Little Vienna Bakery, Route 14, Mai Mai’s, and Hara Sushi, and Happy Village. Take-out and fast-food options include Subway, and a couple of pizza outlets.
