Today Sunday August 3 at approximately 4:10 pm, West Shore RCMP responded to a report of a serious collision near the 2900-block of Sooke Rd (Highway 14) in Langford.
That’s just west of the signal-light corner at Chidlow Road and Sooke Road. The westbound four-lane portion of the highway starts at West Shore Parkway (heading toward Sooke).
The collision involved two vehicles.
Emergency personnel are currently at the scene.
The provincial highway is completely shut down in both directions between Humpback Road and West Shore Parkway.

Highway 14 in that four-lane stretch will likely remain closed for several hours, said West Shore RCMP in a news release around 6:52 pm.
Detour:
Both Kangaroo Road and Gillespie Road remain open as alternate routes to and from Sooke.
“We thank you for your patience as emergency crews work the scene,” says Cpl Nancy Saggar, Media Relations Officer, West Shore RCMP.
Investigation:
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
