Following a five-year hiatus, Victoria Symphony proudly presents the long-awaited return and expansion of its popular summer concert event, Symphony SPLASH! taking place over the 2025 BC Day long weekend, August 2 and 3.
It will be the highlight of the Victoria Symphony Association’s 85th anniversary.
The two-day event features four live orchestral performances on the Inner Harbour’s iconic barge stage from Victoria Symphony and The National Youth Orchestra of Canada, with special guest performers:
- JUNO-nominated Indigenous singer-songwriters Celeigh Cardinal and Shawnee Kish, and
- BC Hall of Fame percussionist Sal Ferreras and his Latin Jazz Sextet, with Cuban vocalist Adonis Puentes.
Schedule of Activities on August 2 and 3:
Activities take place at Victoria’s Inner Harbour.
- Free Family Zone, ahead of the two afternoon SPLASH! Concert performances, from 1-3:30 pm.
- Community Stages, spotlighting local musical talent throughout the Inner Harbour, at 1:30 pm and 4:45 pm.
- SPLASH! Concert performances 3:30 pm and 7:30 pm.
- Fireworks – On August 3 only, the 7:30 pm concert will build to a grand finale with fireworks at 9:15 pm
City parking:
There are no special parking or parking rates for the event. City of Victoria parking rates are in effect:
- Saturday August 2 from 8am to 8pm;
- Sunday, August 3 parking is free.
Road closures:
Road closures will be in effect as of 12 noon on August 2 through to the event’s close at 11:30 pm on Sunday on August 3.
- Government Street (from Humboldt to Superior)
- Belleville Street (to Douglas Street)
