The 2025 Canadian Little League Baseball Championship is being hosted at Layritz Park in Saanich.

The tournament runs from Tuesday July 29 to Thursday August 7.  

Games take place 10:30 am, 2 pm and 5:30 pm each day. No tickets required, lots of seating.

The Championship is hosted by Layritz Little League, which has been offering fantastic baseball and softball programming in the community since 1958. See: Tournament details.

Fans and spectators welcome:

Fans and spectators are invited to watch these teams compete for the national title at Saanich’s Layritz Park, which in recent years has seen various upgrades in anticipation of the event.

“Hosting a tournament of this calibre is a big deal for our community, and I want to thank Layritz Little League for the tremendous amount of time and energy they have put into making it a success. I’ll be cheering on our host team!,” says Murdock.

Layritz Park is in the Royal Oak / West Saanich Road / Wilkinson Road area of Saanich.

Years in the making:

Originally scheduled for 2020, it was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic.

“This tournament has been years in the making, and we couldn’t be more excited to finally welcome the nation to Layritz,” says Graham Plumb, President of Layritz Little League.

“It’s an incredible honour for our club and community to host Canada’s top young athletes, and we’re proud to showcase the spirit of baseball and the hospitality that makes Saanich such a special place,” says Plumb.
