BC Legislature Spring Break is now on for all the MLAs.
The 43rd BC Parliament session calendar shows no sitting dates between March 14 to 30.
This has been an intense first sitting period starting with the Throne Speech on February 18 through to today, especially as many of the MLAs are new — they’ve been learning the format and rhythm of business and schedules.
MLAs will be back in the house starting March 31 and sit through to May 29 before taking a summer break.
There are 93 MLAs in the BC Legislative Assembly, with this being the present MLA seat count: 47 BC NDP, 41 BC Conservative, two Greens (with Third Party Status), and three Independents.
