NDP MP Alistair MacGregor (Cowichan-Malahat-Langford) will be hosting a public meet and greet on Tuesday, November 13 featuring special guest federal NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh.
The event will take place at the Belmont Secondary School Library and Learning Commons from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. MacGregor is encouraging residents of Langford and the Highlands to attend.
“I look forward to an energetic discussion with Jagmeet about the issues that matter,” said MacGregor. “We’ll be discussing health care, housing, child care, and the environment – important topics that Canadians really care about.”
“I’m excited to hear from the people of Langford to discuss the solutions they urgently need,” said Singh. “We’re determined to make a difference in the lives of Canadians who are facing increases in costs and fewer opportunities.”
Earlier in the day Singh and MacGregor are scheduled to take a tour of SD62’s Belmont Secondary, a state-of-the-art high school in the west shore. That will be followed by a Q&A session with about 250 Belmont students.
