BC Premier David Eby is playing hardball regarding tariffs that the United States may impose tariffs as high as 25% on products that are imported from Canada.

In BC that includes mineral and forestry products as well as hydro-electric energy.

Yesterday in Vancouver Eby said during a media session:

“British Columbia provides peak power support all the way down the west coast of the United States — Washington State, Oregon and California. We sold a billion dollars worth of electricity to those states last year.”

“When I say nothing’s off the table for British Columbia, nothing is off the table, I mean it,” said Eby.

“We will not stop until we are assured that the Americans fully understand how inter-tied we are.”
