On the morning after the ‘great debate’, BC Green Leader Sonia Furstenau will be holding a BC Greens rally in Vancouver.
On the mainland, the BC Greens are thought of mostly as a Vancouver Island movement, and sometimes mistakenly thought of as focused only on issues about the environemnt.
But under Furstenau’s leadership the party is spreading its wings across the province in this election (as they also attempted in 2020), to bring in support from voters who hope to see government done differently.
Furstenau will be fresh off the October 8 televised evening leaders debate. She will be hoping to further build momentum going forward to the October 19 election.
The rally will be held from 5 pm to 7:30 pm in Vancouver (venue tba).
“This rally is more than an event,” Furstenau said today. “It’s our opportunity to energize the public, encourage undecided voters, and remind everyone that there is a real alternative to the status quo in BC.”
