Day by day, the BC Legislature building interior is growing more festive for the Christmas holiday season.
Today the large tree in the main Hall of Honour rotunda was being set in place, with decorating about to begin by mid-afternoon.
On the second floor, the Legislative Library is all decked out, with a tree made of books and plenty of ornaments.
This is the last week of the Fall sitting of the Legislative Assembly; the last day is Thursday November 30. The 2024 legislative calendar has not yet been published.
The public can come to hear school and community choirs at the upper floor rotunda including choirs from these SD61 (Greater Victoria) schools: Lake Hill, Margaret Jenkins, Marigold, Oak Bay.
December 5 to 21, 2023. Public tours are available on weekdays.
On December 7, the public is welcome for the annual Christmas Lights Across Canada event on the front driveway starting at 6:00 pm.
