City of Langford Council is hosting a New Year’s Open House.
Being held on Saturday January 25 it’s billed as an opportunity to “welcome in 2025 with engaging conversations, light refreshments, and a chance to connect with friends, neighbours, and members of Council”. | See event photos & writeup

The event will be held from 11 am to 1 pm at the Indigenous Perspectives Society office at 664 Granderson Road (ground floor, community room).
“This is a wonderful opportunity to share in the joy of the new year and strengthen our community ties,” the city says in their community-wide invitation.
“We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the start of a new year together!”
Event parking:
“Parking is limited on site, so we encourage attendees to consider taking public transit, biking, or carpooling where possible,” says City organizers.
Recent city news:
Earlier this week, the City of Langford launched a Budget 2025 public survey which is available online to February 9.
The city has also just approved the purchase of six acres of urban core land to be used as a natural park starting 2030.
