Now that three days of rain have passed and people are assured that a nearby wildfire has been contained, attendance at the 2024 Sooke Fine Arts Show (SFAS) has picked up steam.
People are noting the new show floor layout.
“People are impressed with the new design,” says SFAS Executive Director Terrie Moore. “They are noting the gift shop has a nice sparkle to it and they are appreciating the seating area in front of the stage to be able to sit and listen to the musicians.”
Attendance was definitely up for Family Artz Day yesterday. “We were thrilled to be inspiring a whole new group of artists for future shows!” says Moore.
Today is Seniors Day, with a tea-for-two theme. That runs from 1 to 5 pm with a white-linen service of tea and scones in the gallery while enjoying live music. That’s free for seniors with admission, and for anyone under age 65 there is $5 admission.
The 2024 Sooke Fine Arts Show runs daily through Monday August 5.
Island Social Trends is proud to be a sponsor of the Sooke Fine Arts Show again this year (each year since 2017). See all 2024 SFAS Sponsors.
