Two e-sports winners of major tournaments will be in Victoria on Friday, August 30 as guests of the Pacific Football Club (Pacific FC).

Pacific FC says the official visit of Werder Bremen eSports FIFA players Michael Bittner (MegaBit98) and Mohammed Harkous (MoAuba) is an opportunity for the video game experts to learn more about the Canadian Premier League and the Pacific FC team.

There will be an in-store appearance at 2:00 pm on Friday at Pacific FC’s Fan Shop at 665 Fort Street in downtown Victoria.

“We’re extremely pleased to welcome Michael and Mo to Canada’s West Coast,” commented Pacific FC VP of Operations Brad Norris-Jones. “This week is an opportunity to grow the beautiful game and learn about the ever growing world of eSports.”

“I’m really looking forward to the trip and also to getting to know Pacific FC,” commented Megabit98. “The Canadian Premier League is still very new, so I’m very excited to learn a lot about the league, but also about the club. The programme looks great, I’m really looking forward to my time in Victoria.”

The eSports duo have made headlines worldwide as two of the best in the world and the two best German FIFA players in the world.

Werder eSPORTS is a German profesional soccer club named SV Werder Bremen that was founded in 1899. In 2018 Werder Bremen entered esports.

“It’s actually the first time I’ve travelled to Canada,” stated MoAuba. “I’m really looking forward to the new experiences. I’ve heard a lot of good things about both, Vancouver and Vancouver Island.”

Together they won Germany’s eSports Club Championship for Werder Bremen. MegaBit98 won the German singles championship, while MoAuba won the World Cup in August, the most important title in FIFA eSports.

Pacific FC’s next home game is on September 4 as Pacific FC hosts Forge FC in Langford, British Columbia.
